End Homelessness Winnipeg, an Indigenous mandated, collective impact organization committed to ending homelessness in Winnipeg, is seeking a Manager, Communications & Community Relations to join their team. Under the guidance and direction of End Homelessness Winnipeg's CEO, the Manager, Communications & Community Relations, works collaboratively with the CEO, staff team, Board members, and key stakeholders to develop, execute, evaluate, and report on a comprehensive communication strategy and plan that enhances the profile of End Homelessness Winnipeg. This role ensures public and community understanding of End Homelessness Winnipeg's vision, mission, and goals; and actively engages and encourages collaborations and partnerships with multiple stakeholders including people with lived and living experience, Indigenous leaders and organizations, local shelters and housing service organizations, private sector organizations and funders, liaising between sectors and community services. As part of the End Homelessness Winnipeg team, the Manager supports the stewardship of the 10-Year Plan to End Homelessness and Reaching Home priorities and commitments, by leading communications and community relations activities aimed at addressing the historic realities, individual conditions, social conditions, systems, and policies that have created and contribute to homelessness in our community. The Manager, Communications & Community Relations must be passionate about ending homelessness and have an in-depth understanding of homelessness and housing, as well as the needs of particularly vulnerable and over-represented populations and the issues affecting many homeless and low-income people. Bachelor's Degree in Communications, or Communications Diploma with relevant experience, preferably in communications, marketing and public relations, journalism or a related discipline . Demonstrated experience creating and implementing communication strategies and plans, as well as associated materials and content . Experience consulting, engaging and communicating with multiple sectors, including facilitation of small and large group discussions . Experience with media relations . Experience communicating complex issues or information using plain language and visualization . Experience with issues management, crisis communications, communications risk assessment .
