Peak of the Market is seeking a Director Sales who has professional experience in sales, ideally with experience in the produce or food industry, and who has a strong customer focus and relationship building skills. Reporting directly to the Vice President Sales, the Director Sales will play a key role in the long-term continued growth of Peak of the Market and will gain a strong knowledge of the Vice President Sales' responsibilities to provide continuity during their absence. Maintain a high degree of knowledge of Peak of the Market, its Customers, Growers, and Suppliers, as well as industry trends . Arranging pricing for Peak or Customer initiated ads . Contract negotiations with Customers . Lead the development and implementation of Customer specific programs to help increase sales . Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance on developing sound sales strategies and ensure priorities and objectives are aligned . Build strong relationships with Growers, Suppliers, and Peak Staff based on honesty and fairness . Organize and execute tradeshows . Handle all Human Resource issues within Sales Department . Work closely with the Import and Transportation Departments to build programs for Peak's Customers Experience & Qualifications . Post-Secondary education in Business or Marketing or other related discipline . 6 - 8 years professional sales experience (produce experience preferred) . Professional business approach . Strong oral and written communication skills . Demonstrated customer focus and strong relationship building skills . Demonstrated interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills . Motivated self-starter . Demonstrated computer proficiency - Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail, internet, research .
