Legacy Bowes is proud to be recruiting on behalf of The Canadian Red Cross Society, a not-for-profit, humanitarian organization dedicated to helping the most vulnerable in Canada and throughout the world. The Red Cross is currently seeking Site Managers to supervise a team of CRC General Support Workers in an assigned Long-Term Care (LTC) facility. The Site Manager will be an on-site role and will oversee/direct the work of the team to ensure a safe and consistent service delivery plan, recognize and escalate issues, barriers, hardships ,and strategies for service improvement and team wellbeing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
. Lead on-site team of CRC Support workers providing front line volunteer service within a LTC facility
. Work with LTC facility to ensure needs are identified and gaps are filled with CRC personnel
. Perform frequent checks with each volunteer and end-of-day debriefings with the team to identify personnel who may be struggling or burning out and would have the skills to act accordingly with appropriate actions
. Document and report on performance indicators of safe and consistent service delivery
. Identify and collaborate or escalate issues, barriers, hardships, and strategies for service improvement and a healthy and safe work environment for the team

QUALIFICATIONS
. Your previous volunteer and life experience to manage difficult situations
. Excellent supervisory skills - caring and compassionate but can also deal with problems/issues and provide support/help
. Professional medical credentials (nurse, SWB) would be an asset
. Calm under pressure
