System Network Administrator Southeast Collegiate, based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is unlike any other school in Canada. It is a unique facility that not only educates its students, but also houses the student body on site while nourishing the culture of First Nations in many of its day to day operations. Prior to the establishment of SEC, there were very few "culturally appropriate" schools in the Province that suited the needs of the Southeast Resource Development Council Corporation (SERDC) communities. SEC partners with First Nations, federal and provincial levels of government, as well as many organizations and agencies working together to achieve the ultimate goal of preparing students so that they may continue to further their education goals. SEC is seeking a highly organized and efficient Systems Network Administrator to add to their team. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations & Human Resources, the successful candidate will join a team of dynamic people committed to the staff and students in an environment that recognizes forward thinking and out of the box problem solvers. Main Responsibilities . Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications. . Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks. . Taking staff or student through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues . Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults . Setting up new users' accounts and dealing with password issues . Testing and evaluating new technology . Lifting and moving Servers and Desktops . Active Directory user management (user accounts, security groups, distribution lists, passwords) . Maintain DHCP . Maintain DNS along with web servers/hosting . Troubleshooting and maintenance of IT hardware (iOS/Android devices and Windows) . Asset management (inventory, repairs, configuring new machines) . Perform backups and restores . Manages server patching and DATTO backups . Provides 24/7 on-call computing support during weekends and/or holiday based on need. . Maintain Cisco POE switches and Cisco switches . Maintain security camera systems . Training on technology systems as required . Set up remote log in abilities . Maintain a complete inventory list of computer, monitors, peripheral devices and electronic components. . Manage FortiAP/FortiGate firewalls . Maintain and enhance school website Maintain and assist with media platforms such as microphones and projection items Qualifications . Post-Secondary Education in Information Technology or related studies . At least 5+ years of experience . 5 to 7+ years of knowledge and experience with the following technologies: o Window Server 2008 / 2012/2019 o Windows Exchange o Active Directory o DNS / DHCP o Window 7 / 10 o Cisco switches and FortiGate Firewall .
