The Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority (SLFNHA) provides primary health care, including chronic disease management, health promotion and disease prevention. Serving 33 First Nations in the area, SLFNHA supports and contributes to a strong health system by providing a variety of essential health services to the people of Northern and remote communities. The Health Services Recruiting Manager will lead the recruitment efforts for all health-related positions for Mental Health, the Public Health Team (Approaches to Community Wellness), and the Interdisciplinary Primary Care Team. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, The Health Services Recruiting Manager will oversee two recruiters as a key contributor to the successful staffing within these critical departments in order to ensure effective patient services and care. Mentor and support a team of two recruitment consultants, assign projects, and ensure deadlines are met, streamline processes, and identify areas for improvement. . Assist in creating a pipeline of candidates and recruitment procedures for the purpose of quickly filling vacant positions while utilizing innovative recruitment strategies. . Manage and organize all hiring processes from start-to-finish - advertising, assessing resumes, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding all new employees. . Determine competitive compensation ranges for staff through use of labour market analysis. . Track recruitment metrics, such as time-to-hire and cost-per-hire. . Communicate efficiently with business units and employees ensuring the recruitment needs of both are met in a timely and effective manner. . Coordinate with department heads in order to anticipate future hiring needs. . Ensure up-to-date job descriptions for vacant positions are developed and maintained. . Continuously assess team member performance and execute training and development sessions as needed. . Collaborate with health care professionals and community resources to promote comprehensive and effective recruitment efforts. . Exercise care and caution in protecting confidential and sensitive information related to clients and personnel. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS . Business Administration Degree/Diploma or combination of skills and experience. . 5 years' recruitment experience, preferably in a supervisory position. Previous health care staffing an asset. . Computer literate, expertise in applicant tracking systems . Experience working in a First Nations community and ability to communicate in one of the First Nations dialects of the Sioux Lookout Zone would be an asset. . Knowledge of First Nations culture, history, community-based services, geographic realities and social conditions within remote communities . Demonstrated ability to mentor recruitment consultants and work collaboratively to achieve short- and long-term staffing needs. . Excellent multi-tasking, prioritizing, and organizational skills; able to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment while overseeing multiple projects. . Methodical problem-solving strengths . Excellent oral & written communication and interpersonal skills. . Knowledge of current recruitment strategies coupled with the ability to think creatively.
