Our client is seeking a Finance Office Manager to lead their office team. The Finance Officer Manager is responsible for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards. The position is also responsible for managing the office and the HR functions of the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES . Maintain an orderly documented system of accounting policies and procedures . Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives . Oversee the accounting operations of holding companies, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures . Oversee that the accounts payable are paid in a timely manner and that accounts receivable are collected promptly . Generate weekly and monthly reporting necessary for accounting matters . Assist with processing payroll and ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed . Monitor and maintain inventory control systems . Preparation and review of US tax returns . Research cross border issues and implement tax minimization strategies . Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to leadership . Implement HR initiatives, administer benefits program and communicate all, if necessary payroll changes . Advise managers on any people management issues EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS . 5-10 years of experience as a Office Manager and Accountant . Strong understanding of US Border protocol and US customs . Accounting designation preferred . Proficient use in Accpac . Strong leadership and management ability . Strong communication skills, both written and oral . Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills .
