Reporting to the President & CEO, the Vice President, Finance & Chief Financial Officer provides direction to the corporation with respect to financial policies and is responsible for all aspects of corporate financial policy, financial management and control, actuarial activities, investments, financial and economic modeling and reserving practices as well as enterprise risk management. As an Officer of the Corporation and a member of the Executive Committee, the Vice President, Finance & Chief Financial Officer contributes to the development of corporate goals and objectives, policies, programs, practices and philosophies. Within a collaborative team environment, the Vice President & Chief Financial Officer works alongside fellow Corporate Officers in the continual pursuit of the overall operating health of the Corporation and the success of the respective operating divisions by effectively executing divisional functions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or other related field and will have a professional accounting or actuarial designation. In addition, fifteen or more years of related senior level experience in broad areas of financial management in a complex business environment will be essential. Leadership experience should include at least five years' experience at a senior management level and five years' experience managing multiple large, cross functional teams or projects influencing senior level management and key stakeholders. Technical knowledge and skills include proven ability to lead, mentor and develop a team of senior professionals, strategic planning experience, and ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
