Controller The Opportunity Our client, a highly reputable international manufacturing company, is in search of an experienced Group Controller reporting to the Director of Finance and Senior Vice-President. The Group Controller shall monitor financial performance of all revenue and expense categories of the specified operating divisions. RESPONSIBILITIES . Oversight of divisional activities . Preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual financial information for consolidated reporting at parent company . Participation in divisional monthly/quarterly operational reviews (physical attendance at division where possible) . Guide division in continuous improvement of monthly reporting, inventory accuracy & control, MRP system procedures and operational support . Physical observation of divisional quarterly inventory counts (where possible) . Oversight of divisional payroll & benefit admin . Evaluate work performance of reporting personnel . Manage or participate in division level special projects . Variance analysis to performance targets, including cash to cash gap, inventory turns and days accounts receivable . Perform detailed business analysis & reporting on key financial matters and initiatives . Includes approximately 30% to 40% of travel per month . Participation in Audit preparedness and audit relations SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE . Ability to thrive and adapt well to change . Ability to multi-task and enjoy working on several projects at once . Well organized with a strong attention to detail . Proven self-starter . Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal . Strong accounting, finance and analytical skills . Ability to apply business strategies to financial reports . Strong financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and technical skills and a strong working knowledge of Financial Accounting Systems as well as fully integrated ERP systems . Strong people management abilities EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE . Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting .
